What does rosemary do to your brain? Researchers at Northumbria University in England have found that there are compounds in rosemary oil that may be responsible for changes in memory performance. And in particular, one of its compounds, 1,8-cineole, was found to function similarly to the drugs licensed to treat dementia, causing an increase in a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. Science is only the most recent player in this game. Ophelia in Hamlet says to her brother Laertes: "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance."
Tripura's Rosemary Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of rosemary grown in Spain.
